Bahraini–Danish was established in Bahrain in 2016 by Batool Alshaikh, Maitham Alumbarak and Christian Vennerstrøm Jensen. The studio highlights their varied cultural heritage to form the springboard on which to delve into their cultural differences, both socially and professionally, as a means of creation.
Through dialogue and a democratic approach to design and architecture, each project is formed, drawing by drawing, towards a new common order in collaboration with artisans and craftspeople – thoughtfully providing a contemporary and relevant way to produce and craft objects and spaces.
Christian Hammer Juhl (Denmark) and Jade Chan (Singapore) are a design duo currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Christian & Jade developed their own exploratory and interdisciplinary design language.
The pieces that they design are largely inspired by the instinctive search and desire for intimacy and a sense of belonging in the routines and interactions within our physical spaces.
Instead of consistently working within a specific form or function, the studio seeks to communicate the changes that they see in the world through techniques and materialities that best convey and challenge it.
Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze is a Danish designer and the owner of Copenhagen-based architecture and design firm STUDIO 0405.
STUDIO 0405 is a design studio working in the intersection between space and object. It explores the culture of design’s historic, technical and aesthetic properties and how it can be qualified and further developed in an object.
The studio plays with our surroundings that enhance the everyday life and the dialogue between object and human in a given context through inherent materiality and craftsmanship.
Studio Theresa Rand is based in Copenhagen and works on functional yet poetic furniture and objects, characterised by simple lines with a sensual expression.
The focus of the studio's work is on the use of natural and lasting materials, their tactile qualities and the way in which they are combined.
The studio works very intuitive and plays with the atmosphere, which furniture and objects create and the impact, which that atmosphere has on a space and on thepeople using that space.
